Land sales to mysterious companies

White Rock Quarries is a division of Vecellio Group West Palm Beach, Florida that operates 2 controversial UNDERWATER quarries in West. Palm Beach, Florida

In Vincent, they propose to sell 95% of our natural resources to other states.
Limestone will be taxed at the point of delivery removing tax revenue from Alabama.

All quarry land in Vincent was “covertly purchased” beginning in 2007 using 5 FLLC *shell companies registered in Delaware. (All are now dissolved)
1. All land purchased was zoned agricultural
2. No request was made by WRQ to have land rezoned prior to purchases
3. Mineral right searches performed
4. Land was bought at prices that far exceeded current market value.

Timeline:
**First property sold was the Hassett Farm, which was an integral part of the entire quarry deal.
Two RRs intersected on this land and purchasing it would give the quarry access to both lines.
The family of the seller tried in vain to buy the land from the "off the plantation" family member, offering them "whatever the quarry is offering" for the land to keep it in the family.
It did not work and this one sale sealed the fate of Vincent forever.

Judy Naugle was on the agenda at regular town council meeting. She asked Mayor Ray McCallister three questions:

(1) Do you have any knowledge of a proposed quarry in our town?

Answer: “No.”
(2) Have you met with any representatives of the quarry company?
Answer: “No.”
(3) Are you going to have a town hall meeting with your people?
Answer: “I don’t know."

None of these questions or answers were included in the minutes of the council meeting.

After being denied twice to correct the minutes, Mrs. Naugle’s questions were attached to the minutes, but never included in the official record.

  2. Good question.

The document was prepared by the No Quarry group and if the Hassett Farm had not sold there would be no White Rock Quarries project would there?

We'll make contact and adjust the document.

Thanks for checking on this. The Hassett sale should be listed near the top. Attorney Fowler said -- "without the Hassett Farm (because of the railroad) there would be no quarry".

Please give credit/blame to the sellers of the Hassett property.
